Top Tips to remember when your kids play outdoors
Tips for parents on how to get children motivated courtesy of Bold 2in1 Apple Blossom and Lime Zest.
- For children that don't like sport, play interactive games like Hide and Seek, to keep them motivated.
- Try and incorporate a stop-off at the park on the way home from school.
- Fill both days of the weekend with walks or bike rides to keep kids active.
- Encourage children to do more than one sport to maintain their interest.
- It's of course very important to make sure children are safe when they exercise – helmets should be worn for roller-skating, cycling and skateboarding.
- If your children walk or cycle to school, or if they play outdoors with their friends, make sure they are aware of road safety, and the importance of staying in a group.
- Keep a first-aid kit in the car in case of cuts and grazes. If you don't feel very confident about what to do you might want to go on a local St John's Ambulance first aid course?
